Fashion advice

For the first time my daughter gave me a fashion advice. I put on a shirt and asked her if she likes it. She said honestly that she did not like it and I should take it off. =) Then I asked her what should I wear instead, and she pointed to one of the brightest orange shirts in the closet. It was a summer shirt, so I had to stick with the warmer one. =)

Jim's Birth Day

Today is Jim's Birth Day! My sweetheart turned 27 today for 12th time! =) I made him for the first time Dark Truffle Brownie Cheesecake. MMMMMMM! Perhaps the best cheesecake that I ever tasted. I'm so good!

Not Quite "A New Thing Every Day"

Since I started this blog the intent was to be able to post a new thing each and every day for a year. This is turning out to be much more difficult that I was expecting, so at this time I will not necessarily be posting a new thing every day. I will post new things as they come.

If you still have some new things for me to try to help things a long then please let me know. You will make my life more interesting, happy, and joyful.  =)

Thank you all for understanding...

Day 94: Bursting Cysts

Day 94: During my final class on Saturday, a meditation/chanting class, I had to stop the class for the first time. I experienced a really sharp pain in my abdomin. The pain was sudden and sharp, and I almost thought I was going to pass out. My wonderful students tended to me, and even took me to the hospital, while my husband was making has way back from the Lake Delton. After 5 hours in the hospital and a bunch of tests the doctor came to the conclusion that it was a small burst ovarian cyst.
Now I will have a small inside joke with my students: When we meditate and chant in our class we create such a strong harmonic vibration that it can cause cysts to burst. We are hard core, yall!! =)
Thanks once again to my wonderful students for helping me out.

Day 93: Candies as Act of Loving Kindness

Day 93: I am expecting to no have to explain how Ferrero Rocher candies to women, since they are a little piece of edible heaven. My act of kindness was to bring a big box of these wonderful candies to Uliana's teachers.
This was just a little something to show that I really appreciate what they do for Uliana. Teachers ROCK!!

Day 81: Crafts

Day 81: I was trying so hard by getting all things together for Uliana to do an activity with her hands. It took her maximum 10 minutes to go through all of them. The website was promising me that it will entertain the kid for at least for half an hour. =( But it's OK, we had fun anyway.

Day 77: For the first time a deer at Okshner's Park came to us today. Uliana and I have been at this park already hundred times and never-ever has a single deer come up to the fence. And a miracle, he came really close and actually started eating leaves from our hands. It was nice to hear Uliana's giggles.

Day 66: Hugathon

Day 66: Hugathon

Over a period of two hours standing on a square today I gave out about 300 hugs including 3 puppies, one kitten, and 1 kick in the butt. What? Kick in a butt? Yea! One man came to me and he said that he really needs a hug. I gave him a hug, and then after he told me that he was going through some tough times in his life, I gave him a second hug. He said that he also needs a nice kick in the butt and so I happily, but gently, obliged, to help “kick”-start him into action. =)
Another memorable request was from one of the lady who came to me with tear filled eyes, and told me that she really, really needed a hug today. I gave her a nice loving squeezy hug, and then she told me that she was just diagnosed with cancer, and then I felt like I needed to give her a really, really long healing hug. We stood there hugging and the emotion of the moment overcame me and we both stood their crying for a while...

My observations on types of hugs I gave away today:

  1. Chiropractic Hug - back crackers
  2. Tippy Toe Hug - trying to reach around the shoulders of someone tall.
  3. I-Guess Hug - jumping in front of people and they hug me even though they were not really interested at all - just standing there
  4. With-A-Mission Hug - where the person comes with a dedicated intent and desire for the hug, like to the most wonderful and passionate job
  5. Kid Hug - innocent and fearless
  6. Animal Hug - hugs to animals
  7. Oh-No-She-Has-Me Now Hug - no real effort
  8. Everybody-Needs-A-hug Hug - this is the main thing people said when they came to me for a hug
  9. You-Should-Charge-Us Hug
  10. You-Look-Like-You-Need-A-Hug Hug
  11. You’ll-Give-Me-A-Hug-If-I-Give-You-A-Hug-Back Hug
  12. Great Idea Hug - likes the idea
  13. Why? hugs - why are you doing this, curiosity

Access Denied

  1. I have my wife for hugs
  2. no thank you
  3. not today!!! - My favorite!!!
  4. first I need to find a bathroom - another cool one
  5. ignoring me
  6. turning away to avoid the situation
  7. smiling as they pass
  8. nodding no
  9. I’ll give you a hug later... on the way back... when I'll return  =)

At the end I want to thank everyone who was supporting me with this a little silly but fun experience.
